Photo/Fujifilm
Today I got the glorious Fujinon XF 35mm F1.4, it was a long time since I wanted it.
I had read a lot on this lens, a magic lens, and many people who had passed to the most modern XF 33 mm F1.4 (weather sealed, linear engines plus groups of lenses) did not find it so magical.
“Perfection sometimes does not improve images but makes them too real, too clear, too sharp”
It’s something I noticed when I used the Sony RX100, I had gone from the M1 to the M4 (especially for videos) and I thought I would also get better images. But still today about my M1 pictures are currently among the most beautiful I have ever done, there was something special and indefinite in the colors, in the softness that I did not find in the M4 always too defined.
I had started with a compact machine, the X-T30 that I sold for the X-T5, I added the grip, two new prime lenses, and the metal hood.
Lately I was finding myself a bit uncomfortable, I started to feel inconvenience in the street, I was attempted by the X100 there so small and perfect.
Magic & Size
These two things combined with the focal length made me make this choice. I still haven’t had the opportunity to test him. I give up on performing focus and sealed protection, but I always have 33.
I like to travel and I want to try this light setup.
I also removed the grip and went from 1.1 kg to 760 g, over 300 grams less that it is not a little.
I am excited to be able to try it and check the performance of this small old Fujifilm jewel.
