4FG+ LTE/devices
Last week I increased my monthly data limit for 4G connection. I had been using Portable Pocket Cube Router for years but speed was very bad.
Since I got the new smart TV I started wondering if I could somehow improve my situation.
Here’s how I managed to quintuple my LTE/4G + connection speed in just a few simple steps.
Android Network Cell Info Lite & Wifi
First download Android Network Cell Info Lite & Wifi free application, a very complete tool that analyzes every aspect of the data and wireless connection in use and that also uses real-time graphs to show speeds and all sorts of information.
Start walking around your house and in each room perform various speed tests and analyze the signal strength graph (plot tab), where the cell you are using is shown in green and the neighboring cells in blue.
The tool includes many other functions such as a map of neighboring cells and Raw tab that provides detailed info on the wireless connection. Here you will find a complete guide.
Find the point with the fastest connection and that will be the point where you need to move your 4G connection device.
With a little patience I was able to solve a slow connection problem that had been going on for years and that I couldn’t explain to myself.
TP-Link Archer MR600
I then went from portable routers to a TP-Link Archer MR600 which offers complete connection control via the TP-Link Tether app.
Stability and connection speed has improved a lot but the real problem was solved only after the router was switched to another room.
Luckily I had a better connection in the PC room and I moved router from living room to be able to connect it via LAN cable to computer.
