Hardware/Bose
In a nocturnal madness (after another Peroni beer) I had purchased the Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II special Eclipse Gray version on Bose.com.
The next morning I already realized the absurdity I had done…really too much money.. and I asked for order cancellation, which was impossible because it was already being shipped.
I decided to give it a chance, I tried them. I used the medium size of the external adapters and for the clip on my right ear.
Compared to my Vivo TWS 3 ANC, they fit better to the ear cups thanks to the special external rubber adapter, the noise cancellation is notable but I found the sound not to be in line with my tastes.
I have a video of the unboxing before returning:
The bass was very present and always made the sound too static and lacking in spatiality even when adjusting the equalizer of the Bose Music App.
I didn’t like the zero volume hissing the connection problems and strange buss sounds.
There is no support for aptX Adaptive, aptX HD, aptX Lossless and 360 immersive sound present in my Vivos that paid less than 100 euros in combination with my Vivo X70 pro Plus.
Vivo TWS 2 sound is spatial, it envelops you, a training session with them really projects you into another world, plus the case is lighter and beautiful.
My next goal would be the Vivo TWS3 but since they came out almost a year ago I decided to wait for any TWS 4 perhaps in conjunction with the upcoming X100 smartphone.
The aptX Adaptive technology will be included in the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds on pre-order on Amazon for 349 euros (compared to 120 for the Vivo TWS3).
