Thunderbird
A long time ago I switched to Evolution to manage my email accounts but I realized that I almost never opened it. So I went back to Mozilla Thunderbird.
The default theme to my surprise changed a lot during my non-use and I couldn’t like it.
I use GNOME Linux on Arch and found this theme around:
A GNOME theme for Thunderbird
This theme follows latest GNOME Adwaita style.
The project is very unstable but at least alive and quite up to date.
Installation was a bit complicated due to some limitations of the installer and a particular configuration of my profile folders.
It seems that the installer does not recognize the space between the folder names /Mail Fabrizio—-> Mail\ Fabrizio.
I had to edit install.sh line 29 and temporally rename folder names to fix the redundant profile paths but eventually the installation ran.
There are some improvements that make the interface more similar to the GNOME style but I confess that everything still seems confusing to me, I will try to fix the theme (double separation menu lines) or look for an old style one.
I’m downloading years of pop mail that is bringing me a lot of great memories that I want to keep.
