UPDATE 02/02/22: finally after Origin OS Ocean upgrade access phone notifications with recognition of one of the three proposed numbers work, it is only necessary to assign all the execution permissions to Google Play Services service from
Lately I have decided to maximize security of my internet browsing sessions by excluding Google services auto sign-in. I don’t let Firefox memorize anything and I log into Google services every time I log in with the KeePassXC plugin.
With my Vivo X70 Pro Plus I cannot receive push notifications from Google for the Google 2-Step Verification. The weird thing is that I have all permissions set for Play Services and sometimes I get a flurry of alerts after hours of logging in. I opened also a question on the Google Comunity.
However, it is possible to access with alternative methods such as verification code from a text message or call or using one time backup codes.
Google Authenticator
The method I prefer is Google Authenticator, you just need to download the Android application and from your PC :
Then open the Google Authenticator application on Android, click on the + symbol and then on Scan a QR code and scan the QR code on the monitor.
From now on, to access Google from a PC, simply select Google Authenticator as an alternative access method and when prompted, enter the code that appears on the Android application at the PC login. Simple!
