Bose/Surround Speakers 700
Today I completed my Bose system with Surround Speakers 700 that I added to Smart Soundbar 900 (Dolby Atmos) + Bass module 700.
I also bought the original OmniJewel Bose floor stand. The two speakers are really small and elegants. Like the stands, Soundbar and Bass module are also covered by an elegant clear glass.
Installation
Assembly was quite simple, packaging is state of the art, mini Bose screwdriver supplied is nice. They’re wireless and you just need to plug the speakers into the power outlet and add them to the Bose Music app
Bass Module 700 is also wireless but I use it with the Bose cable to avoid all sorts of problems and given the proximity to the soundbar.
On Amazon Prime Video I had not yet been able to play Dolby Atmos content, Bose Music app was always detecting Dolby Digital 5.1.
I subscribed to Netflix and for me it really is superior to Prime.
Dolby Atmos
After several hours on Reddit I was going crazy with ARC, eARC, PCM Pass throw configurations etc… so i wrote to LG Support who incredibly answered me in a few minutes with a lot of attached screenshots.
After some tests I verified that Atmos tracks most of the time are only for the original language and for the first time I was able to test Atmos.
First I rerun the ADAPTiQ® test on the new configuration, which froze after a few seconds, fixed by removing the power supply to the system for some minutes by resetting everything.
I watched Squid Game by first selecting the Atmos soundtrack and leaving all levels at zero. The effect is truly remarkable, always very balanced even at low volume.
At certain moments background audio sounded to come from the neighbors’ apartment or from far behind on side, or making me think there was actually someone other in room, this thing really impressed me.
I had never tried the Bose Surround Speakers, I had read conflicting opinions but I am satisfied.
I didn’t really want to make a complete unboxing video but I only took some short videos and photos…
